Photo of Benjamin EichenauerBenjamin is a Certified Advanced Rolfer and Licensed Massage Therapist who has practiced in Portland for over 6 years. He is an assistant teacher for the Rolf Institute and a member of the International Association of Structural Integrators. His influences include: Ayurveda, Continuum Movement, Martial Arts, Meditation, Qigong and Yoga.
Rolfing® Structural Integration
Rolfing is holistic structural bodywork that was developed by Dr. Ida Rolf. It frees the body to return to the easy alignment and joyful movement that are the natural expression of every human being. In a Rolfing session, Benjamin releases and realigns the connective tissues in the body. By releasing restrictions caused by aging, injury, strain, repetitive motion, poor posture or emotional trauma, Rolfing relieves pain and restores balance to your whole being.
Massage Therapy
In addition to Rolfing, Benjamin also offers a style of massage developed at the Rolf Institute® to train Rolfers to “listen” to a body with their hands. This slow, flowing form of massage releases tension, stress and pain that are held in your body. The intensity of your session may be deep like Deep Tissue Massage or gentle like Swedish Massage depending on your needs and preferences.
